The ParagonX F=ma class is a 12-week course designed to prepare students for the 2026 F=ma contest. The course begins with developing stronger foundations in common subjects that may not be dealt with in depth in regular physics courses. Afterwards, the class will delve into specific tricks to solve complicated problems.

Graph theory is a mathematical subject with many important applications, including in linguistics, chemistry, and social science. This class, taught by two MIT-PRIMES alumni who completed projects on graph theory, will introduce some of the beautiful properties and theorems related to graphs (without degenerating into a cycle of confusion).

This course introduces students to fundamental concepts in molecular and cellular biology from the basic chemical properties that govern all living things to the workings of the most basic unit of life: the cell. These concepts provide a solid foundation for further study in biology and are essential to success on the USABO exam. Due to the high student-teacher interaction in this class, this course has been changed from 8 classes to 10 classes. The topics covered are still those listed in this syllabus, but the level of depth has increased.

The ParagonX E&M course is a course for students who have completed high school physics or AP Physics 1 with a strong, solid foundation in calculus. Over the course of ten classes, students will learn all the ideas covered in the AP curriculum and USAPhO exam and gain a solid understanding of the inner workings of electromagnetism.

This class provides preparation for the AMC 10/12 and AIME, the beginning competitions of the pathway for the eventual selection of the U.S. team for the International Mathematics Olympiad. This course covers topics in Algebra, Combinatorics, Number Theory, and Geometry that are crucial for success in these exams.

*On the week of April 8th, the class will be taught from 5-6 pm instead. This course is for students who have a solid understanding of Algebra 1 and Geometry and are aiming for a high score on the AMC 8. In this eight-week program, we will teach algebra and counting skills necessary to solve AMC 8 problems and the first 15 problems on the AMC 10.

This eight-class course is designed to teach students the key concepts frequently encountered in the USACO Bronze division and other major programming competitions. The concepts covered range from USACO Bronze to a brief introduction to USACO Silver. Classes will consist of a lecture and a problem-solving session, and homework will be assigned weekly.
